The Coleman Foundation, Inc. is a private, independent grantmaking
foundation established in the state of Illinois in 1951. The Foundation funds educational institutions
offering entrepreneurship education throughout the United States; organizations conducting cancer research
and providing cancer care; and agencies providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities
only in the Chicago Metropolitan area - its primary geographical focus.
John Hughes is an amazing entrepreneur who founded a professional services firm and cashed out independently wealthy. This was only the beginning, as he took the helm of a long established private candy company and doubled its size and profitability. John's legacy is his passion and funding for entrepreneurship education and his cofounding of CEO.
